Career Oriented Jobs:
I am a graduated Veterinary Assistant and am available for temporary or part-time work. Please see the experiences I’ve listed on my resume that have molded my skillset.
Exotic Animal Husbandry, Rescue and Rehabilitation
I have had a lifelong passion for exotic animals. My goal is to obtain a position rescuing exotic animals and/or wildlife out in the field, rehabilitating them, then returning the appropriate animals back to the wild and tracking their progress.
If there is any position working with exotic or wild animals in the areas of husbandry, rescue, rehabilitation or even lab testing, I am interested and skilled in those areas.
Although my primary focus for a career is in exotic animals, I understand it may not always pay the best. I am open to working in other fields which I am also knowledgeable and skilled in. I feel this can be a win-win for you and me if you need the skills that I have in business or sales and I am always looking for more experiences.
As you may already see, I love animals, so pet sitting is by far not out of the realm of my interests at all! I’m available for overnight stays, midday visits and walks. I have experience with large animals such as horses, dogs and cats, small animals, and exotic animals like reptiles, amphibians, fish and avian. Also, if you have a pet with any special needs or requirements, such as medications, I’m comfortable giving those too.
Computer Maintenance and Repair
Along with most of my other interests, the skills have gained in computer repair and maintenance have been self-taught. I have a passion to help those in need and although I want to help people fix their computers, I also want to help teach them how to do it themselves, if they are open to learning. However, I am completely capable of doing it myself.
I am skilled in the areas of malware removal, file backup and synchronization, online security, cleanup and removal of old or unneeded files, and client education.
I have just recently gotten into building websites powered through WordPress. I have constructed this one all on my own, with only some tips from some helpful friends. I am working on two other websites at the moment and plan to have them completely built by the end of this summer. If you would like a professional website built, feel free to contact me regarding price and time. Seeing that I am still new to this aspect of technology, it will be less expensive, but I ensure you that it won’t look like someone who didn’t know what they were doing constructed it.
Social Media is a big interest of mine. I have an account with pretty much every social network out there, whether it’s popular or not. The main ones that I am frequent with are Twitter, Google+, Facebook and Tumblr (although Tumblr is also considered a blogging platform). That leads me to my next interest: blogging. I have accounts on Blogger, WordPress (what this site is powered by) as well as Posterous and, of course, Tumblr.
Social Media requires continuous education and somewhat of a learning curve to master. I learn new things every day in the worlds of blogging, Twitter and Google+. That said, I do feel that I have a solid understanding of how it works and have developed many skills that are beneficial to you.
I have developed some photography skills and you can see my work for yourself. While interning in Alaska and at the Lincoln Children’s Zoo in Lincoln, NE I created a small portfolio. I also have done some photography work for the college that I graduated from, Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture.
